Classical Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles. Students learn in a calm and friendly environment and are taught the IDTA syllabus by IDTA qualified teachers.
Although Ballet actually began in Italy it was formalised in France in the 17th Century. The terminology has remained in French and dancers across the world can communicate with this universal ballet vocabulary.
Ballet is the basis of all dance techniques. It is an artistic dance form characterised by grace and precision of movement. It is theatrical - performed on a stage to an audience. It is very good for deportment, to develop balance and co-ordination, muscle tone, grace, poise and confidence.

The Modern Jazz syllabus will give students a taste of many different styles of jazz including while developing firm technique and improving strength, flexibility and style. Modern Jazz incorporates elements from many other dance techniques and forms of Modern Dance, Classical Ballet, Ethnic Dance, Tap dance and popular Dance ranging from hip hop break dance street dance to free dance.
Modern Jazz today has adopted these elements from various social, theatrical and artistic dance forms and is found as a highly artistic form as well as a recreational and social form of dance. It has great appeal not only for the dancer but also for those who see it performed.

You’ll explore movement as you enjoy incredible music, and a workout that can’t be rivalled in any gym. You’ll also gain confidence that can enrich your overall well-being. Street classes are offered at every skill level.
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Modern and contemporary dance styles are developed from the art of rhythmic body movement used as social communication and expression.
Contemporary dance seeks to work with the natural alignment of the body and is therefore safe and accessible for beginners. At the same time the ease of movement promoted by Contemporary dance technique allows experienced dancers to push new boundaries of body movement.
This exciting class, often referred to as Acro is a wonderful fusion of dance and gymnastics. Pupils study all aspects of this exhilarating dance style such as flexibility, tumbling, balancing and strength. Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner pre school level dancer from log rolls to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage!
We follow the world renowned Acrobatic Arts Syllabus which offers safe and effective progressions and exams are offered at every level. we are delighted to be offering this fantastic style of dance at our studio.
Students in this class will have the added advantage of using mats and our amazing 8 metre air track to ensure their safety.
Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques.
Lyrical dance challenges dancers and choreographers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion. A lyrical dancers movements attempt to show the meaning of the music. Lyrical jazz is a very passionate and emotional dance style. It portrays certain emotions such as love, and tells a story through every movement made. It is mainly performed to music with lyrics, and the songs lyrics are a driving
force and key inspiration for the movement. Choreography is often emotional, gripping, and exquisitely delicate, all at the same time.
